Sharing for a reason
Petrik lives in the beautiful city of Budapest. He is one of the people behind the Mondolo Association, whose goal is to promote nature and its importance, let it be through street art, storytelling or community events. When not working he spends his time outdoors with friends and fellow members of the association, where, to his great delight, he is the one usually ending up cooking for the group.

Some of my most treasured childhood memories are from the many summers and falls spent in campsites with my family. Now, 15 plus years later I enjoy it just as much. So whenever I can, I take the opportunity to head out and wind down in nature. A favourite is hiking the National Blue Trail in Hungary with good company. Encouraging others to spend time in and connect with nature in a sustainable way is something that I am passionate about and the reason why I never do it alone. For me, experiencing and sharing adventures with friends and family, is one of the best things in life.
On the occasions when we’re staying the night outside, grilling is the number one option for dinner. I normally prepare and marinate the food in advance, so while we are sweating on a steep hill during the day, the food is taking up the flavours and getting more and more delicious. When back from the hike and the others are setting up camp I usually get ready with my trusty stove or collect wood for an open fire so I can get into cooking right away. Once the fire is burned down and the charcoal is ready I’ll place the compact Aeril grill on top of the glowing coal and in just a few minutes the well-deserved meal is ready.
And then, joking with each other, sharing stories around the campfire while the sun is setting behind the landscape is the best ending of the day.
